It was a warm sunny Saturday when I stumbled across the crack that is Lion Babe. I was chillin outside with a bunch of friends when the song came up on someone’s shuffle. Boom, and like that it was love. After listening to the song like 50 times in a row, I got my computer and googled the title “Treat Me Like Fire”. One of the first posts was a link to the full music video, which you can find below.
Ugh, just when I thought I couldn’t love the song any more the visuals blew my fucking mind. I just don’t even know what to say. Just watch it.
The group consists of Jillian Hervey, who also happens to be Vanessa William’s daughter, and Lucas Goodman. Jillian’s definitely got some Mother Erykah vibes going on with her vocals so good for her. I rarely pay for music these days (lol) but idk something made me want to support Lion Babe enough to buy the song on iTunes. It probably has something to do with the fact that they have NO other songs out so hopefully my $0.99 will motivate them enough to make more music!
